Cookies we use
Language preference (NEXT_LOCALE); applicant access token (fg_access — when you are signed in to a case); admin access token (fg_admin — internal). We do not run third-party advertising cookies.
Analytics
We run our own first-party analytics. The data stays on our own server and is never sent to a third-party analytics platform. It sets no cookies.
A session identifier is held in your browser’s sessionStorage — not a cookie — and is discarded when you close the tab. We do not store your IP address: visitor counting uses a one-way hash of a daily-rotating random salt, your IP and your browser string. Because the salt changes every day, one day’s records cannot be linked to the next.
What we record: the page visited, its language, the referring channel, device class, and whether key actions such as completing the eligibility check took place. Names, email addresses and free-text messages you type into forms are never written to the analytics data.
Google Analytics (opt-in)
In addition to the first-party analytics above, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand our English and Portuguese markets. It writes _ga cookies in your browser, so we load it only after you press Accept — before you choose, its script is never downloaded and no cookie is written.
Declining affects no site functionality, and our own anonymous analytics continues either way. Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage — not in a cookie — so clearing site data will prompt the question again.
